Produced for one year only, the 1978 Nuovo Record is a beautiful yet flawed design. The 4th hole (the one separated from the others) had a bad habit of catching the chain. This hole was removed for the 1979 model year, and thus we had the gold standard 3 hole Nuovo/Super Record front derailleur we all know. This is almost a requirement for late 1970’s show bikes, but should be avoided for bikes you plan to ride a lot.
Condition
Mint very lightly used shape. It’s in truly lovely condition that would be fit for the nicest of show bikes. The inner cage plate has a very slight amount of chain rub.
